Peculiarities of SGS surgical protocol
Master-class on the System of SGS dental implants:
peculiarities of a surgical protocol took place in Saint-Petersburg with the
assistance of UNIDENT within the framework of MEGADENT LLC training program.
The training was planed in view of great interest in the SGS Swiss Implant
System at the request of surgeons-implantologists and
orthopedist.
The seminar was held in the New Era Dental Aesthetic
Dentistry Clinic on February 12. A surgical operation on SGS P7 Premium
implants insertion was conducted under local anesthesia. Among the participants
of the seminar were 2 patients and medical workers, who got an opportunity to
insert the implant themselves, which is an integral part of the training
program. In the opinion of Konstantin Storozhev, the oral surgeon,
implantologist, who conducted the training, two components contribute to the
success of the implant system: perfect properties and predictable result. And
in this case SGS showed its best side.

The Peoples’ Friendship University of Russia, with support of UNIDENT Company, held the Academic Competition in therapeutic dentistry for students where teams of 15 higher educational institutions from six countries took part. The Academic Competition not only revealed the strongest students, but also became a platform for exchange of experience both among students and among teachers of educational institutions.

On January 20 to 25 in the head office of Wieland Company’s plant in Pforzheim (Germany) where the world famous CAD/CAM-systems are produced, a master-class on innovative technologies of dental prosthesis manufacture was held. Representatives of the leading Russian dental laboratories took part in the training. In the course of the master-class the ambitious program of lectures and practical training was presented.

A laser dentistry congress was held as part of the Dental Expo exhibition. The congress gathered dentists interested in one of the most advanced and upcoming dentistry trends. The congress was the first event organized by the Academy of Laser Dentistry, which has been recently founded in Russia.
