Master-class on the Wieland plant
On January 20 to 25 in the head office of Wieland Company’s plant in Pforzheim (Germany) where the world famous CAD/CAM-systems are produced, a master-class on innovative technologies of dental prosthesis manufacture was held. Representatives of the leading Russian dental laboratories took part in the training. In the course of the master-class the ambitious program of lectures and practical training was presented.
The four-day program covered the entire technology of dental prosthesis manufacturing procedure using CAD/CAM technology and presented a special course on Zenoflex ceramic pastes professional application. Upon completion of the master-class the participants got acquainted with the entire course manufacturing of zirconium solid prostheses using the Zenostar innovative technology — the technology of prostheses manufacture without any facing ceramics. The master-class participants discovered the world of Wieland innovative technologies in the sphere of dental prostheses manufacture out of zirconium dioxide.

The Peoples’ Friendship University of Russia, with support of UNIDENT Company, held the Academic Competition in therapeutic dentistry for students where teams of 15 higher educational institutions from six countries took part. The Academic Competition not only revealed the strongest students, but also became a platform for exchange of experience both among students and among teachers of educational institutions.

A laser dentistry congress was held as part of the Dental Expo exhibition. The congress gathered dentists interested in one of the most advanced and upcoming dentistry trends. The congress was the first event organized by the Academy of Laser Dentistry, which has been recently founded in Russia.
