Oscar Rabin in France

In September 2010 in France within the program «Year of Russia in France and France in Russia» two personal exhibitions of one of the famous modern artist Oscar Rabin were started at once. On September 11 his exposition opened in an ancient castle of baron De Kursel in Montigny-les-Metz. On the 15th the vernisage of the artist took place in the Parisian Gallery of Dina Vierny.

Rabin, an expressionist, nonconformist and the founder of the «Lianozovsky group» and the participant of well-known «bulldozer exhibition» has presented more than 100 author's works, drawings, archival photos, video and movies of the Soviet epoch. The exhibitions attracted hundreds of visitors many of which are long time admirers of his artists’ talent.

Oscar Rabin's creative work accurately reflects the era of the 1960's. His art reflects the severe truth of the life spiced up with witty details of the time such as: newspaper clippings, electrical sockets and herring. A distinctive feature of Oskar Rabin’s style is limiting laconicism of color and the form, but at the same time it is the paradoxical combination of incongruous in a single canvas. Because of the courageous texture of genres, artistic techniques, and images, the artist work has been recognized world wide.
The exhibition of Oskar Rabin in Chateau De Kursel was supported by the group of Unident companies and the charity-cultural fund U-Art: You and Art.

Innovation 2011: winners’ awarding

April 7, 2011 at the Centre of Contemporary Culture "Garage" took place the sixth solemn ceremony of awarding the All-Russian competition in the field of contemporary visual art INNOVATION. Traditionally, co-organizer of the ceremony came out the cultural and charitable fund U-Art, sponsor - a group of companies UNIDENT.

The Russian Museum shows "Sky in the Art"

The exhibition with such a poetic and mysterious name was opened on August 12 in Benois Wing of the State Russian Museum. In four halls the image of sky was presented by many artists who worked in different epochs and represented the different styles and ways of art. Every visitor can find his sky here.

The Exhibition of Lado Gudiashvili in the Russian Museum

The exhibition of Lado Gudiashvili, “The Paris Years, 1920-1925” opened on July 1, 2010, in the Stroganov Palace of the Russian Museum in St.-Petersburg. The exposition was previously presented in the Tretyakov Gallery. Exposition includes art works of Lado Gudiashvili from the collection of the Tretyakov Gallery and private collection of Tamaz and Iveta Manasherov. This is the most complete collection of the Georgian artist of the XX century which was presented to a wide audience..

Innovation 2010: winners’ awarding.

Laureates of the Modern Art award were named on 15th of April in the Baibakov Art Projects room in the territory of «Red October» factory. Annual competition «Innovation» is a unique event, this award is the only state award for modern Russian artists.
