The Second Violoncello Festival "VIVACELLO"


From 9th till 17th of March the Second International Violoncello Festival «VIVACELLO» took place on the scene of the Great Hall of the conservatory and Theater «School of Drama Art» in Moscow. During the festival 4 concerts of classic music took place.
The most well-known classiс musicians played the works of I.S. Bach, P. I. Tchaikovsky, A. L. Rybnikov, A. S. Arsensky, G.V. Gladkov, С. Saint-Saens, H. Villa-Lobos and Russian national romances.
The festival was organized by the charity-cultural fund U-Art: You and Art with the support of the group of UNIDENT companies and was a great success.

The guests and spectators enjoyed the performances of such stars of the modern classic music as Yury Bashmet, Roger Moore, Misha Maisky, David Geringas, Julian Rachlin, Natalia Gutman, Ksenia Bashmet, the chamber orchestra «Virtuosos of Moscow» and Boris Andrianov, who was also the art-director of the festival.
The Second International Violoncello Festival «Vivacello» is the largest event in the world of the classiс music, it made possible to listen to virtuoso play of the magnificent works.

The exhibition of Lado Gudiashvili, “The Paris Years, 1920-1925” opened on July 1, 2010, in the Stroganov Palace of the Russian Museum in St.-Petersburg. The exposition was previously presented in the Tretyakov Gallery. Exposition includes art works of Lado Gudiashvili from the collection of the Tretyakov Gallery and private collection of Tamaz and Iveta Manasherov. This is the most complete collection of the Georgian artist of the XX century which was presented to a wide audience..

There was a gala opening of Oscar Rabin retrospective exhibition Tree Lives, the nonconformist and the classic of Soviet unofficial culture at the State Tretyakov Gallery on October 28, 2009. Oscar Rabin's pictures, whom European critics called Soljenitsin in Art, truly and expressively reflected feelings of society of 60-70 years. However the creation of the painter does not lose their actual speech to the present time.
