New Training Programs at Unident

Early in 2017 the Unident training center is going to enter the state system of advanced professional training of dentists. By obtaining a corresponding license it has become a training center at the network of dental clinics, authorized to issue advanced training certificates in the government-approved format.

A year has passed since Russian doctors, including dentists, were obliged to reconfirm their professional qualification in a new format. Formerly a doctor had to pass a certification exam and receive a certificate effective for five years. The exam was preceded with an on-site and off-site postgraduate training course. However, according to the new law off-site training is no longer an option in healthcare.

Now medical professional has to secure permit to work in several sages. Within the new system the professional has to take a certain volume of postgraduate training annually. Thus the accreditation system is designed as “the key component of continuous medical training”.

Formerly, official postgraduate education programs were only available at specialized centers at state-owned institutions, but now alternative options have become available to dentists.

–       Now with each day the range of training programs is growing and becoming more diverse, giving HCPs the opportunity to improve their medical knowledge”, says Gennadiy Bragin, Chairman of the Accreditation Commission at the PFUR and chairman of the Association of private dental clinics.

Unident offers its training programs to dentists. The training division of the network of clinics started to function a year ago and today trainings are performed on the daily basis. Remarkably, formerly development of the training center was aimed at solution of own targets of clinics. Today Unident is one of the largest Russian dental networks employing over 500 healthcare professionals. Network experts develop and use own standards of patient treatment according to the global trends in dentistry. It is not so easy to find new doctors able to render medical aid at the required professional level. Besides, practice of doctors and junior medical staff requires continuous training..

The training center was opened to solve these issues. The customized practical training programs have rapidly generated interest of outside experts, so soon the center offered the opportunity to take the training courses to all those who are interested. Starting from 2017 the range of programs will increase. The training will be conducted by the leading experts from the clinics, driving continuous advancement of therapeutic approaches at Unident.

Apart from the informational part, personalized approach to training will be another indisputable benefit of the program. “Our training center is small, that is why we are not planning to perform streamline training”, says Dmitriy Bykovsky, General Director of the network of clinics. “We customize programs for the specialists who look beyond just getting a certificate, but strive for real professional development”.

Apart from a lecture hall the training center has dental rooms and diagnostic equipment. We have everything required for mastering the state-of-art treatment methods, including actual patient practice.
