SGS Implements a Modernization Program
This year, the Swiss holding SGS portfolio has been broadened with a new range of implants with conical connection with suprastructures. Also innovations have been developed in prosthetics. At SGS we aim to continue intensive modernization and by the end of the year the company is going to implement a few projects to improve performance.
The aim of SGS is to provide a broader scope of services using novel technologies, at reasonable price and with maximum account of partners’ engagement. In view of increasing demand, SGS has recently scaled up manufacturing adding 12 advanced lines of implant production. Thanks to that the company may service more partners, meeting the strictest requirements and international quality guidelines.
One of the key targets this year is to focus on knowledge as a key factor of success. At SGS, we are going to develop educational programs and scientific trainings on implantology. Lectures are delivered by the leading European implantologists taking into account the needs of specialists, as a result providing interesting theoretical and practical programs. Scientific programs are aimed at solving issues of implantology using a complex approach and considering specific needs of patients.
As a manufacturer of premium class implants and accessories, SGS along
with high-quality dental products place stake on young professionals. After successful introduction at a prestigious
Semmelweis University (
Budapest) of a training program for dental students to operate the SGS system, the company will use the gained experience of cooperation for other European medical universities. Besides the given targets, the company will develop other areas. SGS is going to communicate with dentists, dental technicians, heads of dental clinics, but also directly with patients. To that end, SGS is planning to participate in large international and Russian exhibitions.
In Russia, SGS is continuing to partner with a group of companies UNIDENT. We are going to develop cooperation with one of our most important partners, organize scientific trainings and education programs to help qualified Russian specialists achieving success, — note the company representatives.
Implantologist Training at Budapest
Late in January, SGS in partnership with UNIDENT organized a training for Russian implantologists. A four day course was organized at a SGS training center based in Budapest. The key objective of the training was to share experience and learn the specifics of operating the SGS system. Besides lectures and workshops, the training included a wide range of practical tasks, including those involving patients. The key topics included dental restoration according to “all on 4” or “all on 6” concepts and the issue of rehabilitation in the esthetically demanding area.

Group of UNIDENT companies provided training courses for dental implantologists and orthopedists, as well as for dental mechanics in the field of SGS system in Moscow. Robert Kinsman, member of European association of dental implantologists reported on the possibilities of arch restoration according to “all-on-four” and “all-on-six” solutions. Within the seminar, that was held on April 24th and 25th , the operation of fixing six implants in the upper jaw bone inside maxillary sinuses was performed.
