The Exhibition of Lado Gudiashvili in the Tretyakov Gallery.

On November 17 the timed to the opening of the exhibition «Lado Gudiashvili. The Paris Years. 1920−1925» vernisage took place at the State Tretyakov Gallery. The project was organized by the charity-cultural fund U-Art: You and Art with the support of the Unident and ROCS companies. The wide public was able to estimate over 60 painting and graphic works of the most interesting and unknown in Russia part of the Gudiashvili’s art «the Paris period». The press-show, which preceded the solemn opening, gathered in the Conference-hall of the Tretyakov Gallery representatives of the leading Mass media.

A publication, which was specially timed to the opening of the exhibition, was presented to the guests, this is a collection of articles, illustrations, scientific works and translations devoted to the Paris period of the artist's art. The organizers of the exhibition and everyone who was directly connected to it’s preparations made a speech at the opening of the exhibition, — Irina Lebedeva (gen. Director of the STG), Lidia Iovleva (vice-director of the science of the STG), Luigi Magarotto (professor of the Venice University), an attachй of the art of French embassy in RF Blanche Grinbaum-Salgas, lawyer Jacques-George Bitoun, Iveta and Tamas Manasherovs (U-Art: You and Art).
After this all the guests got a pleasant surprise, — the performance of today’s one of the most talented jazz-singers Nino Katamadze.
The works of the artist from the State Tretyakov Gallery and personal collection of Iveta and Tamas Monacherovs were represented in the cosy show-hall where the muffled light makes you feel like being in the one of the Paris cafes. The mixture of the Georgian originality and European symbolism, some influence of the art of East, synthesis of the grotesque and lyricism reflected in the works of Gudiashvili was a great success in Paris.
Now nowadays public got a chance to estimate master’s art. A lot of the works of one of the greatest Georgian artists of the XX century were shown for the first time.
The vernisage was a success and gathered a lots of delightful responses from the guests; however, about it it is possible to read in the Russian and foreign magazines.
The exhibition «Lado Gudiashvili. The Paris Years. 1920−1925» will last till January 10th, and will open in the summer 2010 in the Russian Museum in Saint Petersburg.

The First PhotoBienniale of the Russian Museum

On November 26th 2009 in the Marble Palace of the Russian Museum a large exhibition project "The First PhotoBienniale of the Russian Museum" has started.
The exhibition was organized with the support of the Russian Museum in Saint Petersburg, the charity-cultural foundation U-Art: You and Art and the Unident company.

Tree Lives of Oscar Rabin

There was a gala opening of Oscar Rabin retrospective exhibition Tree Lives, the nonconformist and the classic of Soviet unofficial culture at the State Tretyakov Gallery on October 28, 2009. Oscar Rabin's pictures, whom European critics called Soljenitsin in Art, truly and expressively reflected feelings of society of 60-70 years. However the creation of the painter does not lose their actual speech to the present time.
