Dental Implant Workshop
A workshop on bone grafting in dental implantology took place in dental
clinic No 32. Organized by UNIDENT jointly with the Swiss SGS
company, the training gave surgeons and orthopedists of Moscow North East
district the opportunity to improve their skills and discuss current
achievements in maxillofacial surgery.
The workshop was conducted by David Nazarian, a
maxillofacial surgeon, Ph.D., Senior Research Fellow of the Research Department
of Plastic and Maxillofacial Surgery of I. M. Sechenov First Moscow
State Medical University and B. V. Petrovsky Surgery Scientific Center under
the Russian Academy of Medical Sciences, Associate Professor of
Ecto-Endo-Prosthesis Department, the ambassador of the International
Orthofacial Conference, the implant surgeon of the Unident-Dentistry clinic
chain. The theoretical part of the workshop focused the specialists' attention
on the methods for dental arch reconstruction and on ensuring optimal
conditions for implantation.
The applied part consisted of practicing open and closed
sinus floor elevation on bioobjects. A surgery demonstration was also organized
as part of the workshop. The patient underwent a bilateral sinus floor
elevation and had SGS implants installed. Staying directly in the operating
room, the training participants had the opportunity to see all the stages of
the procedure, which were accompanied by the surgeon's comments.

A new Unident Stomatology clinic has been opened in Bobrov Pereulok. The medical center has proved to be a unique project, not only for the chain of dental clinics but also among Moscow clinics in general. Two storeys of a building in the very center of Moscow house a general dental clinic with implantology, dental surgery, anesthesiology and fully-featured in-patient departments.

A workshop dedicated to the innovative methods of manufacture of solid zirconia monolithic dentures based on Zenostar technologies was held in Novosibirsk. Participants were also demonstrated the Zenotec Mini CAD/CAM system, which had already caught on in Russia.
