UNIDENT: across vast expanses of Russia

The UNIDENT company is active at the junction of technical progress, research and education. The company gives a concise definition of its mission: improve the quality of health service by providing health professionals with leading-edge equipment and improving their performance. In order to accomplish its mission, the UNIDENT team not only takes point in unveiling novelties of the dental industry, provides training workshops and courses, but also puts in a personal appearance at high-profile specialist events in the regions.
Last autumn UNIDENT found time to pay a working visit to Ufa, St Petersburg, Samara, Rostov and Yekaterinburg, where people from the Moscow-based company were welcomed by our buyers, partners and dealers.
The trade fair Dental Expo. Ufa. Dentistry in the Urals took place between 19 and 22 October. The exhibition showcased UNIDENT's high-end lines at the booth of Dentorg, a long-term partner and one of the first representatives for our products in the Urals. The event was a success; the meeting with regional dentists made it possible to tell buyers about state-of-the-art solutions for treating and diagnosing dental diseases and about the most recent trends, share clinical experience, and showcase novelties from Castellini, Kodak, J.Morita, Genoray, Woodpecker, P&T, Siger, etc.

While some UNIDENT representatives were active in the Urals, others, in coordination with their colleagues from the local representative office of Unident-Povolzhye, were organizing a conference on laser and X-ray diagnostic procedures. The conference in Samara took place 22 October and was a great success with the attendees.

The event saw contributions from leading experts in the field – professors Olga Risovannaya and Marina Chibisova.
Olga Risovannaya delivered a lecture called “Laser Applications in Modern Dentistry” in terms of clinical performance of Biolase equipment, and Marina Chibisova gave a presentation on practical applications of 3D tomography, highlighting studies done using J.Morita X-ray units.
Theory was sprinkled with case studies from personal experience of the speakers, practising dentists with extensive clinical background. Upon completion of training, all attendees received certificates documenting their involvement in the conference.

After a short break, UNIDENT representatives stayed at the northern capital from 9 to 11 November in order to present the best models from UNIDENT's high-end lines. A plethora of items displayed at our booth included totally new machines, instruments and materials, as well as products that had become popular with dentists. The venue, the hospitable Lenexpo Centre, also saw the launch of a number of special promotions, open to the guests of the exhibition only. The bargains offered proved an additional bonus for UNIDENT booth visitors.
The next stop in the series of business trips to Russian cities was Rostov, which between 24 and 26 November hosted a trade show called “Modern Dentistry 2010”. UNIDENT's booth caught the attention of regional dentists. Thanks to a broad range of state-of-the-art equipment from major manufacturers and competent advice from managers, many dentists were able to get an idea of the major trends in dentistry and acquire novelties for their own practices.
The first day of winter, 1 December, saw the opening of Dental Expo. Samara, which was also attended by representatives from the Moscow office. The Expo-Volga Centre brought together major players in dentistry; the company's booth was set up in the best traditions of UNIDENT, the brunt of organizing and managing the event was shouldered by our official representative in the region — Unident-Povolzhye, headed by its one and only CEO, Igor Bezumov. The exhibition proved to be a high-profile event; the interest shown in UNIDENT products demonstrated once again that over the 16 years of its activities the company had won and had been successfully consolidating its lead in the dental market. Thanks to its concerted efforts in all areas of activities, UNIDENT has succeeded in winning the reputation of a reliable partner and a supplier of first-class equipment.

The last item on the schedule of business trips across Russia's vast expanses was Yekaterinburg, which on 8−10 December hosted Dental Expo. Yekaterinburg.
UNIDENT's booth showcased the range of, and latest solutions in, X-ray diagnostic equipment (Kodak and J.Morita), dental technology equipment (Zhermack), dental units (J.Morita, Castellini, AOL, Siger), laser equipment (Biolase), disinfecting equipment (Unident Swiss, P&T), products of the department for the development of new solutions (DMETEC, Genoray, S-Denti, Woodpecker, Wu Wei), etc.

Regional dentists gave a warm welcome to UNIDENT representatives; the demand for high-end equipment was high. Many visitors were able to get comprehensive answers to their queries, buy novelties and receive discounts on the models chosen. On a personal note, we would like to add that we found it pleasant and useful to meet our regular buyers in the regions and make new business contacts, so the established practice of touring will grow and develop in the future.
