UNIDENT Dealer Convention at Yershovo

Those who work well are known to have good fun relaxing, so no sooner had Dental Expo ended, than the dealers, spearheaded by their colleagues from the UNIDENT company, made for the Yershovo manor estate not far from Moscow. However, the trip was not so much entertainment as work: the attendees of the UNIDENT dealer field convention were in for an in-depth workshop on innovative solutions in dentistry.

The convention's business session featured lectures by key staff, leaders of UNIDENT's flagship projects, and the company's foreign partners, unveiling of novel equipment, and a Q&A.

The event's R&D programme was divided in terms of subject matter and spread over two lecture days, which ensured better organization of activities and made it easier to digest the information. The transfer service for the convention attendees was arranged straight from the Crocus Expo Centre on the last day of the trade show, 23 September. Once registered and settled, the guests were given free time by their hosts. While the guests were taking a breather, the UNIDENT team was busy preparing the conference room for the classes, setting up dental equipment to be showcased to the colleagues from regions and putting finishing touches to the gala dinner schedule for the day following the check-in.

The classes started on Friday early in the morning. Exercising her rights as the hostess of the event, Anetta Akopyan, head of UNIDENT dealer department, welcomed those present, summed up the results of the work season that had ended, outlined the prospects for the development of cooperation, and wound up her address by wishing everyone success and yielding the floor to the lecturers.

The first half of the academic day was devoted to the products in new lines, with lectures delivered by Anton Zobnin and Timur Nurimanov as part of subject coverage. The speakers made a brief review of novelties from Woodpecker, Dmetec, Swidella, Siger, AOL, Fengdan, Good Doctors, Genoray, S-Denti, P&T, YOUJOY, Jinme, and China Daheng Group.

The programme was very intensive and took up the better part of the day. The speakers only paused to let their audience take a rest, pigeon-hole their new knowledge and have a snack.

After lunch, the audience was captivated by the presentation from Andrey Metelkov, export director at J.Morita Europe, who showcased the high-end line of the manufacturer's dental units (which were displayed for the first time at UNIDENT's Dental Expo booth) and joint projects with Porche Design.

After that, the dealers were told about Castellini novelties by Andrey Bastrychkin, line manager. This year the Italian company rolled out no fewer than four models of dental units at the same time, also premiered at Dental Expo in Moscow.

To cut a long story short, there was more than enough food for thought. By the end of the training day, the teachers and the trainees were visibly tired, but nothing is better for relaxation than a change of activity, so in an attempt to relieve the tiredness after the classes and let the overheated brains cool down, all attendees were invited to a symbolic tournament in active sports.

All those who wished to take a romp were in a position to choose an activity after their own heart — volleyball, football and even air hockey. By tradition, the day was carried by friendship; it was decided to celebrate the event with a festive dinner. The second day's programme included three extensive lectures. A class on X-ray equipment made by Kodak and J.Morita was taught by Georgy Gabuzov, line director. A lecture on Unident Swiss disinfecting equipment and agents was delivered by Alexander Myachin, a disinfection expert.

The functionality and range of Zhermack equipment and consumables for dental technicians and clinicians were covered by Irina Antonova, line manager. The workshop over, the organizers presented degrees and certificates to all attendees. The regional representatives responded by thanking the UNIDENT team for the warm welcome and comprehensive coverage of equipment and started to look forward to future meetings with their Moscow partners.
