Dr. Beach New Method Comes to Russia

Between the 15th and the 19th of November, Clinic No. 3 of the Russian Federation Department of Presidential Affairs hosted the programme of in-depth study of the PD method (Proprioceptive Derivation, or Dr. Beach Method). The training was provided totally free of charge, with all costs met by the companies UNIDENT and J.Morita
During the UNIDENT team's latest visit to the head office of J.Morita, when they met in person the world-famous doctor Beach, the developer of the treatment named after him, and had the honour of learning the unique technique from the first person, the long-standing partners reached an agreement to bring this Course to Russia.

The course was taught by Dr. Wolf Neddermeyer, an expert in the method. In a week he succeeded in training 3 groups of 4 dentists each. In this, Dr. Neddermeyer was assisted by Andrey Metelkov (J.Morita), who interpreted for the Russian-speaking audience and helped the dentists learn new material. After the class on theory, the trainees had hands-on practice.

The master class was taught in a dentist's office of Clinic No. 3 of the Russian Federation Department of Presidential Affairs using J.Morita state-of-the-art equipment. The dentists were able to appreciate the finer aspects of the method by putting to practice their new knowledge. The trainees appreciated the subtleties of what they found new in the spatial arrangement of familiar tools such as the mirror and probe by experiencing in turn the stations of the dentist and the patient, and then studied the mechanism of more drastic dental intervention by applying the Beach Method to phantom heads.
Unfortunately, the methodology of dentistry on patients at a “12 o'clock” position (back upright) is not yet widespread in Russia, which is a shame because European colleagues and experts from Asia have already appreciated the advantages of the technique. It dramatically reduces the risk of dentists and their assistants developing chronic occupational health problems by reducing strain during work.

The success of the first joint training course suggests that Dr. Neddermeyer will visit Russia again, and more than once, and our dentists will be more decisive in putting their new knowledge into practice. Moreover, the first Russian dentists with certificates have already started work at a number of Moscow clinics.

From November 17 through 20 the Moscow International Exhibition MosExpoDental took place in Gostiny Dvor. Traditionally, stand UNIDENT was presented among the brightest and most well-known exhibitors. We were glad to meet with our friends, partners and customers.

In late October the UNIDENT team organized a conference on laser and X-ray diagnosis solutions in coordination with colleagues from the regional office of Unident-Povolzhye. The event was held at the conference hall of the Board of Academics of the Medical University.

The largest dental exhibition Dental Expo was held at the Exhibition Center, Crocus Expo from 20 to 23 September. The UNIDENT team was glad to make new acquaintances as well as attend meetings with customers, foreign and regional partners. During the exhibition, Unident prepared pleasant surprises, novelties and special offers for the guests.
